Drayton Villa was conceived as a contemporary family home that harmonizes with its natural Canadian setting. Our role was to provide design consultancy, shaping the spatial vision, material direction, and overall narrative of the residence in close dialogue with the client and local execution teams. The emphasis was on creating a home that feels both expansive and grounded - a retreat that responds to its surroundings while offering modern comfort.

The design process began with careful analysis of site conditions: shifting light across seasons, orientation toward landscape views, and the relationship between interior zones and outdoor living areas. Our consultancy focused on establishing a clear spatial sequence, where private quarters, communal living spaces, and outdoor connections flow seamlessly.

Materiality played a central role in defining the atmosphere. Natural stone, warm timber, and glass were combined to create contrasts of solidity and lightness. Interiors were guided by restraint - emphasizing proportion, natural light, and quiet detailing rather than excess. Working closely with local architects and contractors, we ensured that the design intent was translated with precision into construction, maintaining clarity from concept through execution.
